ICE Canola Close-out (Nov. 28, 2025): Canola Slips in Holiday-Quiet Trade

ICE canola futures ended lower in Friday’s post-Thanksgiving, reduced-volume session, pressured by a firmer Canadian dollar and weakness across competing vegetable oils. Traders reported that holiday-thinned participation limited upside momentum, with most commercial buyers stepping back ahead of month-end. Despite supportive signals from soybean oil earlier in the week, canola drifted as currency strength trimmed crush margins and export competitiveness. Overall, the market reflected a cautious, holiday-soft tone rather than any major shift in fundamentals.
